VIEWPOINTS: Would you protest or possibly get arrested for an ethical cause?
This week, 27 protestors with the N.C. NAACP were arrested while speaking against voter I.D. legislation outside the N.C. General Assembly in Raleigh. Last week, 17 were arrested. Many of those arrested were clergy.

Beneath the stereotypes of preacher’s kids as either goody two-shoes or devilish hellions lies a tense and sometimes taxing reality, the children of clergy say. Studies show that many PK’s, as the lingo goes, struggle with issues of identity, privacy and morality. There’s even a support group, Preacher’s Kids International, dedicated to the “celebration and recovery of those who grew up in the parsonage.”

After Rhode Island, is gay marriage ‘inevitable’? Conservatives say no
Rhode Island on Thursday (May 2) became the 10th state to approve same-sex marriage, and the Delaware Legislature holds a key vote on May 9 on the same issue. But Brian Brown, president of the National Organization for Marriage, denies there is a national tide in support of marriage rights for gay couples.
