In a conversation with my friend Nancy Jean at Lovey’s Market, I told her about a quote from the Dalai Lama:

“You don’t need to become a Buddhist to practice compassion.
Practice compassion in your own religion.”

In a moment of perfect synchronicity, Nancy opened a box of St Claire’s Organics Peppermints she’d just purchased.

Inside the lid, I read:

“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.
If you want to be happy, practice compassion. The Dalai Lama.”

She offered a mint to me and said: “You’re worth a mint!”
