Care about the earth and let the warmth come from love

I am not a scientist, so my response does not come from that arena. I guess I'd say the general public is asking the wrong question when we inquire about the reality of global warming. Does it really matter if it is real or not? Is it not more important that we embrace the command to care for the earth, to care for the universe, to care for the environment and all creation, including human beings?

If we truly cared for creation in all its aspects, we would take good care of it, of ourselves and others. For me, that is the core challenge. For me, the attention and awareness needs to be placed on who we are as humans. Or are we inhumane, self-centered, and jealous in our guardianship of only that which directly affects our well-being?

When my concern is for all, for the wholeness of creation, then my actions will be positive, healing, loving, helpful, and compassionate. I'll not do anything that will cause harm. I'll not consume more than I need nor keep more than I require. I'll not hoard when others are in need of help. I'll not waste when others are in want.

The earth will then be healed and the only global warming that will occur will come from the fire of love.
