Dear readers,
Under a brilliant blue sky, about 110 people attended the final WilmingtonFAVS Religious Art Walking Tour fundraiser to six downtown worship spaces on Sunday (Aug. 26).
The tour was the final of two consecutive weekend tours. Over both weekends, WilmingtonFAVS editor Amanda Greene welcomed about 180 people on the tour, which raised money for the nonprofit, nonsectarian faith news site, WilmingtonFAVS.com.
The WilmingtonFAVS staff would like to thank all who attended. And special thanks go to all six worship spaces for opening their churches and temple to curious hearts and minds.
The worship spaces we visited were:
St. Mary Catholic Church, 412 Ann St.
First Presbyterian Church, 125 S. Third St.
St. James Episcopal Church, 25 S. Third St.
Temple of Israel, 1 S. Fourth St.
First Baptist Church, 411 Market St.
St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 12 N. 6th St.
Again, thanks for your support. Community support helps this site and many other area nonprofits exist.
If you have any suggestions of feedback for possible future religious art tours, please email Amanda.Greene@ReligionNews.com.
