BRIEF: Foodies unite Thursday to benefit Methodist Home for Children

The sixth Wilmington Epicurean Evening raising money for the Methodist Home for Children will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 30) at the Wilmington Convention Center. Individual tickets are $125 or sponsor a child for a year by purchasing a table. This year's event judges or "Food Fanciers" as they're called include two area clergy - Derwin and Alene Hinson of Derwin Hinson Ministries and the Rev. Jonathan Watson of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church.
