BRIEF: Church of Servant to host Trinity Institute for “Radical Christian Life”

Church of the Servant Episcopal will host a Trinity Institute conference starting at 6 p.m. Nov. 9 and all day on Nov. 10.

The church will live stream the conference featuring keynote speaker is Sr. Joan Chittister from New York and holding local discussions here in Wilmington.

"This year's conference is designed to help local groups move toward action in their communities based on their faith. It's titled "Radical Christian Life: Equipping Ourselves for Social Change," said the Rev. Catherine Powell of Church of the Servant. "Members of any Christian or other religious groups are welcome as themes of compassion and striving for social justice exist in all of them."

Anyone who wants to register should send an email to registrar, Carl Salisbury: clsalisburyjr@aol.com, including their contact information. Cost is $30 but scholarships are available. The $30 can be paid on arrival or mailed to Trinity Institute/COS, 4925 Oriole Dr., Wilmington, NC 28403.
