BRIEF: UNCW ministries to bring national Apologetics speaker Frank Turek to campus

The University of North Carolina Wilmington's Campus Crusade Faculty Ministry along with Ratio Christi and Baptist Campus Ministry will host guest speaker Frank Turek author of "I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist" at 7:45 p.m. on March 20 and March 21 in DOBO Hall,  Room 134 at UNCW. On March 20th, Frank Turek will defend that ''truth'' does exist and he will give credible arguments for the existence of God. Then on March 21st, he will discuss miracles and the reliability of the New Testament.

I am kicking myself!  I just wasted an hour, fifteen minutes, and three seconds of my time watching this video.  If Mr. Turek is indeed an apologist, he needs to apologize to all us gullible people who suffered through this endless presentation of inanity.  This guy takes demagogue to an all new level.  At least to me, UNCW is doing its students a grave disservice by having this poor man present the Christian perspective to young and formative minds.  He is obviously a proponent of “When arriving at church, leave your critical thinking skills at the door” school of theology.

Science and religion complement, not contradict, says Vatican astrophysicist

Father William Stoeger had been scheduled to speak about Big Bang Cosmology & Divine Creation at 7:30 p.m. on April 10 at the University North Carolina Wilmington's Kenan Auditorium. But due to a sudden illness, the talk will be postponed. When Stoeger is well enough to travel again, the event will be rescheduled, said Sister Rosemary McNamara, director of UNCW's Catholic Student Center.
