I'd like to introduce WilmingtonFAVS' news community writer, Bonny Logsdon Burns. She'l be writing about parenting through her Christian perspective.

Raised an Indiana country girl, Bonny’s heart has belonged to Wilmington since 1998.  She is an independent thinker who happens to be Christian.  She has been married to David for more than 25 years.  They met while at Purdue University.  They have three sons.  And Bonny manages to keep her sanity and sense of humor in tact (one because of the other).  She currently sits on the local board of directors of Christian Women’s Job Corps.  She is a trained classical pianist and flexes her music muscles by singing with the Harmony Belles (a four-part harmony a capella ladies’ group).  The mystery and passions of her life are relational:  marriage, intimacy, family.  She wishes to impart hope for those who are hurting and cherishes inter-denominational women’s ministry.

Welcome, Bonny!

  1. Welcome, Bonny!

  2. I just met Bonny on Sunday when my hubby and I were in Wilmington for a get away to celebrate our 25th (we chose to celebrate all year, our 26th is on the 19th… so this was our last fling!) We were amazed about how much we have in common with Bonny and her husband! Very grateful for our new friends, Brother and Sister in Christ, and Bonny is a rare and kindred spirit!  Her many years of serving the Lord will bring special wisdom to this forum… thank you Bonny for sharing!

  3. Tanya - thanks for reading during your special vacation weekend! Please come back and let us know what’s happening in your faith community!

  4. Thank you for the words of welcome and support.  I can’t wait to get started.
