BRIEF: St. Andrews-Covenant to pack 30,000 meals for charity this week

St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church volunteers will gather to pack 30,000 meals in two hours at 6:45 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 25) to benefit Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief agency that began in Raleigh in 2005. The church needs about 125 volunteers to meet its goal. St. Andrews also packed meals for Stop Hunger Now in April. All volunteers should bring a visor/ball cap to wear during food packaging. The church is not providing childcare for the event, but school age children can participate. Details: 910-762-9693.
