A recent sign at Temple Baptist Church said: "Eternity: Priceless." Credit: Photo by Amanda Greene

A little Baptist fact for the day: Did you know Temple Baptist Church on Market Street planted two churches that have now grown into large congregations of their own — Ogden Baptist Church and Scotts Hill Baptist Church.

A note from the archived history of Temple Baptist Church: "The one small surviving structure left at the original church site was moved to Ogden as a mission and is now Ogden Baptist Church. A second mission was later established in Scotts Hill, and it has grown to become Scotts Hill Baptist Church."
