WILMINGTON | Popular minister, author and Bible teacher Dr. James "Mickey" Efird will lead a workshop on the New Testament book of Romans, Friday and Saturday at Wrightsville United Methodist Church.
Sessions will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday in the church at 4 Live Oak Parkway in Wrightsville Beach. Sessions are free and open to the public, but pre-registration is suggested. For details, call the church at 256-4471.
A professor emeritus at Duke University Divinity School, Efird is the author of 13 books and has written Sunday school curriculums used in a number of churches. He has taught and preached at churches throughout North Carolina, and his former students include three of Wrightsville's pastors.
