Father Christopher A. Roux kneels in front of the Eucharist during the Chaplet of Divine Mercy on Thursday (Sept. 6), the last day of the four-day Cathedral Church of St. Patrick's Vigil for Liberty, on Dilworth Street in Charlotte.
St. Patrick's invited the Diocese of Charlotte and the churches in the surrounding area to adore their Eucharistic Lord from Monday-Thursday (Sept. 3-Sept. 6) around the clock. The petitions coincided with the Demcratic National Convention being held in Charlotte and related to Catholic objections to President Barack Obama's health care law and contraception mandate.
