In the weeks leading up to Jesus’ betrayal and death on the cross, the Bible quotes Jesus speaking with God many times and possibly asking lots of questions.
In his counsel with God in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus makes a statement of request to God: “Father if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.” (Luke 22:42)
On the cross, Jesus asked, explicitly:
“About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama
sabachthani?”-which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
